Angela

 Angela came to us with an incredible amount of experience in the retail industry, having previously worked five years in the business of clothing. Equipped with a strong history in sales and a passion for creating outfits, Angela sees herself as a somewhat counterpart of a famous designer when stating “I’m like Calvin Klein -I can’t dress myself, but I can dress everyone else.” With a sometimes quirky yet charming disposition, Angela is able to take a woman’s inner personality and turn it into a fashion statement. She believes in ensuring a comfortable and fulfilled shopping experience that leaves the customer feeling complete, whether they are buying one outfit or a seasons worth of clothing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Jill

Johnny Ruth’s relationship with Jill revolves around having an individual that is dedicated to the world of clothing and having all the knowledge to back it up. Jill is a smart cookie that understands powerful females can be fabulous too! Jill’s style philosophy is one that includes mixing femininity with a timeless look because “dressing well is merely showing the world how highly you regard yourself. It’s about knowing you deserve to look fab!” Not one to jump on the bandwagon, Jill does not practice trend-following but instead waits to see which ones endure their time in the fashion world. Style is more important than being trendy because it allows you to be yourself while “trends have the danger of wearing you.”

 

 

 

 

 

Amanda

 Amanda is the newest addition to the JR family, but she does not come with the least amount of experience by any means! Amanda feels extremely comfortable working in retail, having done so since she was 15 years old. She is not afraid to give her true opinion on matters but can do so in a very charismatic fashion, because she believes it is best to find only what works for you. Always energetic, Amanda lightens up our store making everyone around her feed off of her energy. Her style philosophy includes layering basic pieces to make an unique. Amanda practices her own ‘refreshing your wardrobe’ technique by buying new pieces to dress up old outfits. She is not afraid to let her personality show through her clothing, and that is what makes Amanda and her look special.

 

 

 

 

Lian

Lian loves clothing like Newfoundlanders love Newfoundland. for Lian, the best part of the day is picking out what to wear, and the glue that hold an outfit together for her are accessories. As a lover of over-sized EVERYTHING when it comes to jewellery, Lian enjoys what she describes as a “cartoony” look at times. Her favourite thing to do is tone down an outfit to let her favourite item stand out - whether it is a large necklace that has a pendant as big as her face or a bangle that slides up dangerously fast and down her arm. Her favourite style quote “let the wardrobe do the acting”comes from an unexpected person - Jack Nicholson, reminding us to be creative and have fun with our outfits

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mark

 Mark is basically Johnny’s Ruth’s boyfriend. He looks after many things that go on in the store including the website, newsletter, posters, ad’s and MUCH more. As a dedicated fan of the Icelandic and Northern European culture, Mark is ahead of everyone else when it comes to graphic design and underground music. He delivers some of the creative splash that Johnny Ruth is made up of.
